We take pride in this every day. We are looking for an Sr. HR Generalist in our River Falls, WI location. The ideal candidate will be a part of an HR team that wears many hats in a manufacturing facility. In this role no day will be the same, but you will participate in a variety of HR-related initiatives such as handing employee relations matters, training coordinator, recruiting, employee engagement activities, payroll and general office tasks such as answering the phones. This role will have the opportunity to take on increasing levels of ownership and responsibility as your skills and knowledge increase. This position reports to the SR. Human Resources Manager who is also located in River Falls. Sr. HR Generalist Tasks and Responsibilities:
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
Conducts recruitment efforts: coordinates approvals, writes and places advertisements, screens resumes, conducts initial interviews, schedules subsequent interviews, administers pre-employment tests, and extends offers. Proactively contacts candidates to keep them engaged, informed and organized.
Plans and facilitates onboarding activities for new hires.
Maintains relationships with staffing and recruitment agencies.
Makes recommendations regarding discipline and termination. Conducts exit interviews as directed.
Administers and maintains various activities designed to achieve and sustain a high level of employee morale.
Promptly responds to employee issues, utilizing proper escalation when necessary.
Responsible for maintaining employee training records.
Supports benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and employee communication as required.
Assists with conducting investigations and providing coaching to supervisors regarding disciplinary actions.
Assist with payroll processing by reviewing timecards and maintaining adjustments as needed for bi-weekly payroll.
Maintains security badge systems, training records, and required safety training.
Education and Experience:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent
3-5 years of HR experience
Desired
HRIS systems experience (UltiPro preferred)
PHR and/or SHRM certification
