The Stella Hotel & Ballroom in Kenosha is looking for talented people to work on our team as part time Cooks (15-29 hours per week). Preparing great food for our guests is crucial to providing first class customer service. We offer flexible work schedules, and for those interested, cross-training in a variety of positions and the opportunity to learn the hotel industry.

As a Cook on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:

1) Work in designated station as set by Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.

2) Able to organize the assigned work area and efficiently put away orders.

3) Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for guests,

4) Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist.

5) Check supplies and prep lists and ensure all items are prepped in a timely fashion.

6) Communicate assistance needed during busy periods and report incidents to the Sous Chef to ensure optimum service.

7) Wash and disinfect kitchen area, workstations, tables, tools, knives and other equipment.

8) Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.

The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:

1) Previous experience as a cook.

2) Excellent customer service skills.

3) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4) Dependability and regular attendance.

5) Ability to maintain professionalism during peak times.

6) Ability to work evenings and weekends.
