OVERVIEW :-Aerotek is hiring now for their best clients in the market. Grab this opportunity to work with one of our client for a Welder position with pay range started from $21/HR up to $26.50/HR - where you will get the room to grow and make your perfect careerDescription:Must have minimum of 3 years mig welding experienceMust have experience with mid grade or heavy steel and aluminumMust have at least 3 years of blueprint reading experiencePay scale ranges from $20-25/hr. There is a $1.50/hr shift premium for 2nd shift. Pay is based on the quality of their welds, their experience, and their attitude.TEST THE JOB DESCRIPTION:If someone has over 5 years of mig welding experience and only one year of blueprint reading experience they would be qualified for the positionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties assigned as necessary:Reviews job orders (written or verbal) and interprets welding specifications according to code certifications, alignment, dimensional and general inspection requirements.Sets up jobs, fits and positions weldments using fixtures, jigs, etc., and varies welding techniques, materials and equipment within recognized limits or procedures.Performs welding and related tasks such as surface preparation, thermal cutting, grinding, etc.Inspects welds and welded surfaces for proper bonds.Cleans and maintains work area (daily), welding equipment and other tools of the trade.Works in a safe manner at all times.Insures that all work is done in accordance with and adheres to IEA’s ISO and Quality standards.Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.Skills:weld, mig, blueprints, aluminumTop Skills Details:weld, mig, blueprintsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:3 years of mig welding experience3 years of blueprint reading experienceMust have own weld helmet and gearMust come from large weldments background (CAT, Joy Global, CNH, Automotive, Ag, Construction, etc.)Position Requirements:Key skills, abilities and knowledge:Working knowledge of standard welding principles and techniques including oxyacetylene welding, arc welding, and inert gas welding (e.g., TIG, MIG).Ability to read and understand weld specs, shop drawings, job layouts and blueprints.Ability to use basic math, measuring instruments (rules, etc.), gauges and templates.Knowledge of working properties of structural metals and welding materials.Skill in using and maintaining welding equipment and related tools of the trade.Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices.Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.Experiential: Three or more years of general welding experience.Educational: Formal apprenticeship training is desirable but not essential.Certificates, Licenses: Fork lift operator certification.Experience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
