This position will learn through observation and training to set up, and operate machine tools, and maintain, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, and special tools. This position will observe preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities specific to tool and die. This position must have a general mechanical aptitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn.Your responsibilities will include● Work well and communicate effectively with co-workers and Supervision.● Observe toolroom mentor and assist (where applicable) with the following tasks:o Set up and operate manual machine tools.o Perform routine repair activities using specific repair and maintenance techniques andpractices.o Perform preventive maintenance tasks.● Perform general and detailed housekeeping.● Assist with maintaining logs and records of work performed, materials and equipment used.● Assist in identification, specification, and requisition die parts.Minimum requirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform each essential duty satisfactorily.
