Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in the process of hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for our Paper/Packaging industry based in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, United States. This role involves processing incoming accounts payable invoices, requesting payment approvals, reconciling accounts payable, and organizing paper documents. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage incoming accounts payable invoices both electronic and paper Request payment approvals from various locations as required Perform accounts payable reconciliations to ensure accuracy Conduct 3-way matching and batching to ensure proper accounting Organize and file paper documents for easy retrieval Conduct weekly check runs to ensure timely payment to vendors Operate software systems such as Excel, Docuware, Raduis, and Open Accounts for data entry and record-keeping Handle any discrepancies in accounts payable and resolve them promptly Utilize Accounting Software Systems, Microsoft Excel, and other necessary tools for efficient execution of accounting functions Ensure accurate check processing and data entry to maintain financial integrity. Requirements Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Demonstrated understanding and experience in Accounting Functions Previous experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Proficiency in Check Processing Strong data entry skills Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in financial records Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of paper/packaging industry would be an advantage Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
