Accountant

Description We are in search of a meticulous Accountant for a construction company based in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The role involves managing various accounting responsibilities onsite with an option for some hybrid flexibility. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries in an accurate and timely manner Ensure payroll reconciliation aligns with the total payroll from the General Ledger side Effectively manage Accounts Receivable agings through accurate posting and reconciliation Oversee credit card payments, ensuring they are automated and sent to Business Central and reconcile invoices to receipts Allocate job costing to the appropriate jobs Assist in month-end support through variance analysis of accounts Leverage ERP Solutions, particularly MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, for efficient accounting functions Utilize Microsoft Excel for advanced functions such as VLOOKUPS and pivot tables Ensure account reconciliation is done accurately and on time Monitor job cost and make necessary adjustments. Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction/contractor industry Proficiency in ERP solutions is essential Demonstrable experience in accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central Strong skills in account reconciliation Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience in job cost accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
