Web Developer

Description We are seeking an experienced Shopify Developer to join our team and take charge of building out new customer experiences on the Shopify platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling front to back-end development, troubleshooting, and contributing to both short-term feature build-outs and longer-term projects. The role involves working closely with an outsourced team for support, with the ultimate goal of transitioning into a lead role to manage and oversee all Shopify development.Responsibilities:Build and maintain Shopify-based applications and features, focusing on front-end components and back-end functionality.Collaborate with the outsourced team for efficient project execution within the allocated 20 hours per month.Lead the re-vamping of the check-out experience over the next two years.Troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.Take ownership of the development process from start to finish, being a sole contributor in coding tasks.Typical Day Breakdown:25%: Troubleshooting and resolving issues.50%: Short-term feature build-outs and enhancements.25%: Contributing to longer-term projects.Requirements Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Shopify development.Proficient in Ruby on Rails Liquid coding, given Shopify's architecture.Extensive experience with Shopify front-end components, feature development, and check-out process.Ability to work as an individual contributor, taking full ownership of coding tasks.Demonstrated capability to work independently and proactively without constant direction.Culture Fit:Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take the initiative and figure things out independently.Ownership mentality – the candidate should take full responsibility for their work and the Shopify development process.Willingness to eventually take on a lead role and manage the entire Shopify development in-house.Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
