The Critical care level based on training and under the supervision of the critical care team. Current Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license, with renewal as dictated by State of Wisconsin.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency. Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to MCHS's insurer.
Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification (EVOC), Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) within two years of hire.
Preferred/Optional: Advanced EMT licensure. Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification (EVOC), Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) at the time of hire.EMT Advanced - JOB SUMMARYJOB SUMMARYThe Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) - Critical Care Transport assumes responsibility for individual professional actions and judgments, during both independent and dependent emergency functions. Pre-hospital 911 and inter facility critical care transport of sick and injured patients by ambulance as needed dependent on primary base location. The critical care level based on training and under the supervision of the critical care team.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) training program.Preferred/Optional: NoneEXPERIENCEMinimum Required: Demonstrated proficiency with administering complex treatment, maintaining composure under pressure, and communicating to individuals in stressful situations.
