Brelie Gear Company in Waukesha, WI is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for our Gear Production department. At Brelie Gear, we pride ourselves on being the best at what we do and look for individuals that share the same passion. This is a full-time, 1st shift position. Pay based on experience from $20/hour. Relocation assistance may be available in certain circumstances.
The primary role of Set-Up Operator is to set-up, operate and troubleshoot gear manufacturing equipment producing high quality gears and pinions while following established procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and shop routers to determine machine settings, required fixtures and hobs
Set-up and align tooling and parts
Load programs, adjust machine parameters, edit programs when required, maintaining required tolerances
Perform quality inspections following customer requirements and company procedures
Assist and train gear production operators
Communicate with production employees and management to resolve blank machining issues
Work with sales team on prototypes defining fixtures, hobs and tooling requirements
Keep work areas clean and organized
Other shop duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Able to walk, stand for extended periods, lift, carry up to 40 lbs., push, pull, kneel, stoop, and reach
Read and understand blueprints
Proficient in shop math
CNC Machining or Gear Manufacturing experience
Experienced in using gages, calipers, micrometers, Vari-roll
Above average written and oral communication skills
Computer literate
