We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property maintenance, with a focus on ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our commercial properties. This role involves a diverse set of responsibilities, including routine inspections and repairs to maintain the overall quality of our properties. Responsibilities:
1. Routine Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of commercial properties to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
Create detailed reports outlining findings and recommended actions.
2. General Repairs:
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
3. Groundskeeping:
Maintain the exterior appearance of the properties through landscaping, snow removal, and regular cleaning.
Monitor and address issues related to sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor lighting.
4. Vendor Coordination:
Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
Ensure timely completion of contracted work and adherence to quality standards.
5. Safety Compliance:
Address safety concerns promptly and report incidents as necessary.
6. Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Assist in developing and updating preventive maintenance schedules.
7. Tenant Communication:
Communicate effectively with tenants regarding scheduled maintenance, repairs, and any potential disruptions.
Foster positive relationships with tenants through excellent customer service.
8. Emergency Response:
Be available for on-call duty to respond to after-hours emergencies promptly.
Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commercial property maintenance.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction principles.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor as needed.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
A drivers license with a good driving record.
