Assembly Technician
Wheel & Sprocket is a growing, nationally-recognized specialty bicycle retailer with a robust brick-and-mortar and online presence. An Assembly Technician is part of the Service Team, and is responsible for assembling bicycles to the W&S standards for distribution to our retail stores. We are looking for detail-oriented associates who are punctual, safety-minded and have a strong work ethic. Must be respectful of a shared workspace and willing to learn. You must also work well as part of a team, with a positive and helpful demeanor.
Job Description
Technical responsibilities
Unbox and inspect bicycles for shipping damage
Assemble NEW road, mountain, hybrid and children’s bikes according to Wheel & Sprocket standards and process
Inspect/test bicycles after assembly to ensure quality control
Work with the logistics team to place, organize and transfer products
Maintains current knowledge of assembly standards, internally and externally
Learn, understand and adhere to company policy, programs and standards
Ability to lift assembled and boxed bikes, up to 75lbs
Be comfortable with heights typically associated with a warehouse environment

Other Notes
This position is based at an individual store location, but may require the willingness to travel to other locations or off-site events a few times per year. This is a seasonal, hourly position, and may have full time or part time hours. Due to the seasonality of our business, Seasonal Employees train and work during our Peak Season (March-August). Most Seasonal employees end their employment at the end of Peak Season, and many return to work again at the start of the next year’s peak season. This position offers many benefits including PTO, product discounts, bike-commuter credits and other fringe benefits to those that qualify.
