Pay: 1st shift with flexible start time
Shift: $20-$25/hr DOE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loading workpieces onto the machine, aligning them accurately, and using the grinding wheel to shape and smooth surfaces according to blueprints or instructions
Operate and may set up one or more types of precision grinding machines such as surface, external, internal or centerless, on a limited range of production work having ordinary recessing and contours.
Set up machines on standard operations where speeds and other settings are prescribed
Select wheels for a normal range of materials and finish requirements.
Ability to work with close tolerances and difficult set-ups of parts of irregular shapes.
Ability to inspect workpieces for defects.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to use standard office equipment
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to focus
