POSITION TITLE: Custodian
LOCATION: Calvary Presbyterian Church, 628 N 10th St, Milwaukee, WI 53233
POSITION SUMMARY: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the church's facilities. This includes Sanctuary Hall, Talley Hall, Bradford Studio, restrooms, church offices, kitchen, and lower offices. The Custodian will ensure that all areas are cleaned regularly, sanitized, and maintained to create a welcoming and safe environment for all members and visitors.
PAY: $15/hour, five (5) hours a week (with possibility of additional hours based on event needs)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Ability to work independently and follow a schedule.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to handle basic maintenance tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Part-time position with flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Physically demanding job requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Dust and polish furniture, podium, and other wooden surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Ensure windows and glass doors are clean.
- Maintain a tidy and organized appearance.
- Set up for Sunday morning church service.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assist with setup and takedown of furniture and equipment for events.
