My name is Jan and I'm 67 and disabled, seeking a mature caregiver for my 49 year old disabled daughter, Dina.
CALLING ALL NIGHT OWLS
5 nights /week. 4 hours/night. Start at 8/8:30pm to 12/12:30am. Dina has issues with grasping and holding, but she can walk a short distance and the apartment is small. Dina is very intelligent, sociable, funny and compassionate, and has many areas of interest. She's also in pain with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and Neuromuscular issues. But she remains pleasant!
Duties and Tasks:
Jan does some of the vacuuming, dusting, changes litter boxes once/week, grocery shopping, laundry, makes most meals. May need some help.
The focus is on DinaIs she comfortable, does she have a meal prepared, are there enough food, drinks and snacks in the fridge, can you microwave packs a few times a night.
You will make easy cat food for 2 cats, may wipe up the kitchen and bathroom, scoop 2 litter boxes. Dina needs assist with at least 1 shower a week and a change of her bedding. The Laundry room is right next door so it's easy to throw in a load if time permits. Needs help with medication preparation once/week. Cook an easy meal for one now and then. Water the plants.
May be asked to make her healthy smoothie or a cup of tea. She needs someone to bring her food, drinks or a hot pack. Her muscles tighten up often so it is A BIG PLUS but not absolute to have experience in massage.
Can't be allergic to cats or cigarettes, which Dina has occasionally. Can't have own physical pain/allergy/ psych issues that prevent standing, breathing and caring for 4 hours. You can always take a break if time allows. Turn your phone off while working.

It should sound like "I have previously been a caregiver doing cooking, assisting with a shower, watering plants, don't mind cats, down the entire list and have done therapeutic massages or I don't have any massage experience."
State which 5 evenings you prefer. Also, tell me how old you are and do you live near Grafton. Offer references. Don't send an email saying I'm available and interested or Is the job still available if it's still listed.
Paid through the IRIS Program at $18.83/hour, direct deposit every other Friday.
Please help us. Dina needs reliable, friendly competent, caring help NOW. Jan, at 67, with health issues, just can't keep up anymore 7 days/week. This is an easy caregiver job. Dina certainly doesn't need to be in a facility. We just want her to be in her own apartment with her 2 cats, comfortable and well looked after.
