Description We are seeking a Transportation Planner to join our team located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves overseeing the transportation requirements for the movement of various goods within the U.S. and to and from Canada and Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high service levels at a fair market cost while interacting with various departments on a regular basis.Responsibilities: Lead transportation planning for specific shipping points to meet business needs Accurately track and report shipments using TMS Handle customer service issues related to transportation Process and track expedited shipments, out-of-territory trans-ships, and returns Obtain rates from carriers for new lanes and setup lane for load tendering Use Microsoft Office/365 for tasks such as maintaining customer credit records Provide excellent communication, both written and verbal, to interface with multiple levels of an organization Show strong attention to detail while multitasking in a dynamic work environment Handle daily interaction with Supply Chain Managers, Logistics, and Transportation Companies Utilize SAP R/3 and BW for various tasks Requirements Possess strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients or customers Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suites to manage data and correspondence Demonstrated experience in planning and prioritization to effectively manage transportation schedules Knowledge of logistics and shipping functions to ensure smooth transportation processes Excellent communication skills to liaise between various departments and stakeholders Experience with shipping and handling of raw materials and finished goods Familiarity with component selection in the shipping process Understanding of supply chain logistics and transportation services for efficient planning Ability to track shipments for timely delivery and updates Experience with daily interaction with various teams and stakeholders Proficiency in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP S/4HANA for managing business data Ability to adhere to non-discriminatory practices as per the provided Discriminatory Words list.
