Sr Motor Calibration Engineer Onsite Milwaukee WI 1 year Contract Start: in May Interview: Virtual Key Skills: Dyno, calibration of motor control SW In this position you will:· Design, develop and maintain sophisticated high voltage dynamometers for motor controls development and calibration development for high power electric drive system.· Work with motor control engineers to perform extensive motor calibration and characterization based on maximum torque per ampere.· Develop highly representative drive cycles to validate torque accuracy requirements and system efficiency requirements over the entire operating regions.· Assist with optimizing motor control performance by ensuring stability in closed-loop current control regulation and field-weakening operation.· Interface with vehicle test engineers to support vehicle bring-up and support any field issues that arise.· Take ownership of calibration and validation of electric drive systems using multiple test platforms.· Review requirements at the vehicle level, system level and component levels and create automated test sequences to be executed on e-dynes.· Leverage test case input and output vectors from various other time-based sources· Develop automation of test case execution with reporting· Utilize third-party software tools to log and share data with other test labs within organization Knowledge & Experience Required:· Hands-on experience with developing high voltage dynamometers for electric drive systems· Experience with AC motor calibration development· Familiarity with vehicle communications protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, CCP)· Experience in software development process associated with automotive type embedded systems· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience in the following is also preferred:· National Instruments software and hardware · NI LabVIEW, Veristand, and TestStand · Matlab/Simulink modeling and simulation model development/integration· Experience in test automation· Experience in Agile with respective tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
