Description We are in search of a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our team in the automotive and polymer manufacturing supply chain industry. This role offers a part-time (approximately 20 hours a week) short term contract employment opportunity. The Sr. Cost Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including QAD troubleshooting, cost rolls, labor and overhead calculations, new product costing, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving abilities and be able to work with the operational accounting team.Responsibilities: Accurately process and maintain cost rolls in the QAD ERP system Develop and manage cost models for new product costing Conduct cost analysis to aid decision making in manufacturing processes Perform account reconciliations as necessary to ensure accuracy and compliance Handle budget processes and perform cost accounting tasks as needed Use your expertise in manufacturing to enhance cost-effectiveness Design and install systems for cost rollup and product cost development Ensure accountability in all accounting processes and tasks Use your problem-solving abilities to resolve issues related to cost accounting Contribute to the team's goals by maintaining accurate records and data.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role Proficiency in cost accounting and cost analysis Familiarity with budget processes Experience in manufacturing setting Proficiency in QAD software, preferably strong proficiency. Knowledge and experience in cost rollup Ability to design, install, and manage cost systems Ability to develop and maintain cost models Experience in product cost development Excellent analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven accuracy and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
