JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Every day, in ways both big and
small, the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is impacting lives for the
better. MCW changemaking for a healthier Wisconsin. As a Senior
Director of Development, you will, under the supervision of the
Assistant Vice President of Philanthropy, provide leadership and
direction to secure new and increased support from MCW alumni, Froedtert
Hospital patients, community leaders, and other friends of the
institutions. The Senior Director works in concert with the key
clinicians, faculty, and researchers responsible for elevating the
reputation and prominence of key initiatives at Froedtert Hospital and
MCW, with the goal to identify, cultivate, and solicit donors for
significant commitments of at least $100,000 and up to $2,000,000. The
Senior Director works closely with Froedtert & MCW leadership, faculty,
administrators, benefactors, and Board members to advance the
implementation, structure, and connectivity across internal teams for
each of these key initiatives. Provides leadership and management to a
team of major gift fundraisers by fostering an environment of
vulnerability and open communication, encouraging innovative thinking
and problem-solving, and setting clear, achievable team goals to drive
performance and motivation.Responsibilities Understand and clearly
articulate the mission and philanthropic priorities of the Medical
College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital. Understand and articulate
philanthropic priorities across MCW and Froedtert Hospital, effectively
matching the interests of prospective benefactors to institutional
priorities and ensure effective stewardship of donor relationships.
Build and manage a portfolio of approximately 100 - 125 prospective
benefactors and donors. Develop and execute strategies designed to
realize the current and lifetime giving potential of prospective donors.
Demonstrate deep relationship building and management skills. Act as a
relationship strategist, creatively developing and implementing
relationship-centered strategies for the successful solicitation of
significant gifts to meet strategic organizational goals. Provide
high-level philanthropic staffing and management of the Deans of the
School of Pharmacy and Graduate School, and Central Wisconsin and Green
Bay Campuses. Provide strategic philanthropic guidance to executive
leaders; and develop and enhance philanthropic strategies to increase
giving. Support benefactor engagement strategies to enhance connectivity
of alumni to MCW and patients of Froedtert Hospital. Establish deep
