JOB REQUIREMENTS: Heavy Equipment Specialist Virtual Req #923 Friday,
August 9, 2024 Job Summary Under the direction of the Heavy Equipment
and Transportation Sales Manager, the Heavy Equipment Specialist is
responsible for outside sales of all HellermannTyton products relating
to the Heavy Equipment Industry with a focus on key accounts developed
by the Director of Automotive and Transportation and the Heavy Equipment
and Transportation Manager. This will be achieved by maintaining
HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 EMS
certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work
instructions, and required documentation. Essential Functions Cover
specific and targeted accounts that have been assigned through
face-to-face interactions with engineers, purchasing and assembly line
personnel, as well as with distributors. Drive or fly to customer
locations. Telephone contact and follow-up. Maintain records in CRM.
Report to the Heavy Equipment and Transportation Manager any activity in
the territory. Demonstrate and sample products. Look for new
applications for HellermannTyton products as well as applications for
new product development. Other Functions Complete activity reports and
expense reports weekly. Complete forecast and other reports quarterly.
Other duties may be assigned. Key Competencies Detailed knowledge of the
complete product line and the ability to cross-sell. The ability to
generate sales to achieve quota. Excellent organizational skills to
complete paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including follow-up.
Self-motivated and assertive, and willing to take the initiative to see
things through to completion. The ability to travel by air and land in
assigned territory. Computer literate. Must be able to keep detailed and
accurate account records. The ability to access customer needs and
demonstrate the full HellermannTyton product line; as well as provide
technical expertise to new and existing customers, all in a professional
manner. Organized - has appropriate samples and literature available.
Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience) Bachelor's degree in a
related field is required. Prior experience within the heavy equipment
or automotive industry, is preferred. Knowledge of cable management is
preferred. Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability
to interact with all levels of employees. Proficiency with Microsoft
programs. Proficient with database systems including CRM, preferred.
Ability to travel by air and land (internationally and domestically),
50% of the time, required. Must possess a valid driver's license and be
insurable. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. #LI-Remote
