Description Summary:The Senior FP& A Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance through meticulous ownership and management of critical responsibilities related to sales file integrity, pricing verification, consumption data analysis, contract/RFP support, trade analytics, SKU profitability, and trade compliance. This position requires a detail-oriented detail oriented with expertise in financial planning and analysis, and a strategic mindset to enhance overall business profitability.Responsibility Descriptions:Own the Sales File:a. Maintain a clean and up-to-date sales file.b. Establish a coherent narrative, encompassing both the "what" and the "why."c. Provide crucial support for forecasts and budgets, including the management of locks, budgets, and templates.d. Weekly input/adjustment of the sales file based on insights from sales meetings.Verify Selling Price per Pound by Customer & SKU:a. Validate selling prices using previous invoices.b. Refer to the master price list by customer and SKU, prioritizing the highest pounds as the starting point.Collect Sales Consumption Data:a. Aggregate and create inventory by retailer and category.i. Utilize customer insights to enhance data accuracy.b. Conduct trend analysis to identify opportunities and risks.i. Collaborate with sales to build a comprehensive consumption report.Contract/RFP Support:a. Ensure no contract or RFP is finalized without Finance review.i. Review all cost elementsii. Complete profitability reviews, signed by CFO, by SKU, by Customer.b. Establish an accessible archive database for both Sales and Finance.Trade Analytics - TPM / TPO (Trade Promotional Management / Trade Promotional Optimization):a. Develop TPM by reviewing RD& A history and creating a yearly promo calendar.b. Formulate TPO by identifying opportunities to reduce trade spend, negotiate smarter deals, and protect trade interests.i. Clarify ownership of deal negotiations, including broker involvement.SKU Profitability:a. Collaborate with Sales to make informed decisions aimed at increasing profitability.i. Sales owns this process with support from Finance.Trade Compliance - TBD:a. Review deal agreements, covering:i. Email acknowledgmentsii. Timeframesiii. Rebate $/lb or % of sales dollariv. Broker's rights for deals/promosv. Distributor allowances/promo rightsQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate expertise in financial planning and analysis, possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Education and Experience:A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Previous experience in FP& A roles, contract review, and trade compliance is preferred.Skills:Strong Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.Excellent attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Note: The above responsibilities are subject to change and may evolve as business needs dictate.
