The Investigator assists in responding to and resolving complaints of discrimination and discriminatory harassment, including sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and sex/gender-related violence (including stalking and intimate partner violence). This position also serves as a primary investigator on student Title IX complaints, and is charged with conducting neutral, thorough, and prompt investigations.Minimum Qualifications

Two or more years of professional experience conducting investigations of any of the following: student conduct, criminal justice law, police, or private investigations, and/or investigations conducted by an office of discrimination and harassment or an equivalent combination of professional experience and advanced education

Demonstrated experience interpreting institutional, organizational, and/or other legal policies and procedures

Proven ability to present verbal and written information in a clear and concise manner to both individuals and groups

Preferred Qualifications

A JD, or Advanced Degree in Student Affairs, Criminal Justice, or a related field (e.g., criminology, social work, sociology)

Title IX Investigator training completion

Experience conducting Title IX investigations

Familiarity with the range of a university’s operations, facilities, non-academic and academic policies, procedures, and/or hearing practices

Working knowledge of laws related to Title IX and gender discrimination and retaliation, such as Title IX, Clery, VAWA , Campus SaVE, and Wis. Stat. 36.11(22)

Demonstrated experience supporting/promoting equity and diversity policies, practices and/or procedures

Target Salary Range Salary will be determined by finalist's experience, training, education and equity-based factors, but we anticipate hiring between $62,000 - $68,000.
