Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The position is in the education industry and offers a hybrid workplace. This role involves working with the payroll team and reporting to the corporate controller.Responsibilities: Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll for a considerable number of employees using UKG Pro software. Approve and make necessary adjustments to timecards, including those for adjuncts. Handle data processing and routine tasks related to payroll during off-payroll weeks. Address staff inquiries pertaining to payroll. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks. Assist with cleanup tasks such as PTO approvals and resolving missed timecards. Support full-cycle payroll processing with minimal training. Monitor and handle tasks during non-payroll weeks. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. Proven proficiency in using UKG Pro software. Demonstrated experience in managing full cycle payroll. Capability to handle payroll for over 500 employees. Thorough understanding of payroll functions. Experience in managing bi-monthly payroll. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
