Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is within the healthcare industry and will involve managing financial processes and maintaining accurate financial records. As an Accounting Manager, you will be expected to lead the financial closing process each month and handle all relevant tasks, such as journal entries and reconciliations. Responsibilities: Handle the entire process of month-end close Prepare and review journal entries and adjusting entries Conduct both monthly and quarterly account reconciliations Oversee the classification and recognition of vendor invoices and cash disbursement transactions Record and investigate all cash receipt transactions Collaborate with Revenue Accounting team to reconcile all cash receipt transactions Support the management of government grants Utilize Blackbaud Financial Edge and Epic health systems for various tasks Gain revenue cycle experience in the healthcare industry Ensure proper handling of grant accounting, month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliation, and revenue recognition. Requirements Possesses comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Grant Accounting Has hands-on experience with Month End Close processes Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries Demonstrates a high level of skill in Account Reconciliation Understands and can effectively apply Revenue Recognition principles Has industry experience, specifically within the HealthCare sector Familiar with the unique requirements of Non-profit Accounting Proficient in using Blackbaud accounting software Able to interpret and apply accounting standards and regulations Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently Must possess strong organizational skills and an attention to detail A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required Professional accounting certification, such as CPA, is preferred Should be comfortable working with various accounting software and systems Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve complex issues.
