Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in Mequon, Wisconsin. The primary role of this position will be to undertake the digitization of paper records and ensure their accurate entry into electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role requires adaptability, patience, and the ability to work efficiently in a challenging environment with a backlog of data to be processed.Responsibilities: Enter and update patient information and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC. Verify the accuracy and completeness of data from various sources. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Perform data quality checks and audits to maintain the integrity of the records. Assist in generating reports and data analysis to support healthcare decision-making. Organize and manage both paper and electronic files to ensure easy retrieval and reference. Provide general administrative support to the medical team. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Epic System for data entry and management tasks. Ensure adherence to clinical trial operations and compliance standards while maintaining the confidentiality of patient records. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Records Clerk or similar role in a healthcare setting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential Experience in Clinical Trial Operations is desirable Strong understanding of compliance regulations in the healthcare industry Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information Proven data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy Familiarity with Epic System or similar healthcare management software Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Medical Administration is a plus.
