Aerotek, voted Best inStaffing is hiring for 3rd Shift Lead Production Operator to work with a local manufacturing facility with a starting pay of $25.00+ per hour (paidweekly) along with additional benefits that include: medical, dental, health and 401k.Description:Our team is growing! We are in need of a 3rd shift lead production operator! This positions will be operating industrial machines for production and packaging. This position will give you the opportunity to lead a team of up to four people in our manufacturing facility.Job Responsibilities: Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications Assists in maintaining production records in each work area Supervise production in the mixing, drying and packaging areas to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency Recording of production activities and results on the online computer for every shop floor Assists in maintaining employee time records Assist in instructing employee owners in safety programs and Good Manufacturing practices (GMP’s) Promptly report maintenance issues to the maintenance department and ensure it is followed through and equipment is in top workingorder Work with Quality Assurance team members and production crew members to ensure product quality Ensure all cleaning procedures are followed and help keep crew members up to date on chemical safety and personal protectivepractices. Assist in investigating policy violations and carrying out disciplinary action according to company handbook Sets up machines and equipment Performs activities of production lines Assist with maintenance duties on production lines Directly supervises four crew membersQualifications:
Familiarity with small hand tools for adjusting machines
Prior experience in one of the following areas: manufacturing, production, machine operation, construction, assembly, forklift driving, or general production / general labor
Mechanically inclined individuals with prior experience highly preferred
High school education; 6 months of industrial experience required
Ability to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner
Respond promptly to customer needs
Ability to focus on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions
