LawnCare Plus, Inc. (www.lawncarepluswi.com) currently has an open Foreman position on our Landscape team. Primary duties include planning and executing a variety of landscape projects for both residential and commercial properties including: installation of retaining walls and concrete paver formations such as patios, firepits, and seat walls, grading activity to manage water flow including finish seeding/sodding, installation of landscape plantings, and general site clean-up.
The optimal candidate will have experience in planning and leading a Landscape labor crew in execution of the above mentioned landscape projects to completion on-time and to quality standards. A strong understanding of horticulture best practices and the ability to operate a variety of landscape equipment - skid steer, excavator, plate compactor, etc. is needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
Project Planning Strategy and Development - Includes client interaction to assess needs and develop the project plan, estimate
material needs, establish project timelines, and create the work schedule to complete.
Crew Supervision - Assign tasks to crew members, provide on-the job training as necessary, and monitor staff performance.
Client Communication - Consultation with clients to assess landscaping needs and address questions and concerns. Facilitate
communication on-site during project completion to ensure overall satisfaction is met.
Physical work - Hands-on execution of landscape tasks - installation of hardscape materials (concrete pavers, stone, mulch, etc.),
planting of trees and shrubs. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., and work both independently as well as within a team.
Equipment Operation - Operate and maintain landscape equipment - skid steer, dump truck / trailer, excavator, landscape hand
power equipment, etc.
Quality & Safety - Ensure high quality industry standards are met during project work and completion. Ensure crew members
follow proper safety procedures.
Required skills and qualifications:
Communication Skills - Clear and concise communication with clients, crew members, and leadership.
Leadership Skills - Ability to lead projects, motivate staff, and manage our landscape team effectively.
Horticultural Knowledge - Thorough understanding of plant types, thoughtful install recommendations for particular
environments, proper care practices.
Technical Skills - Experience operating landscaping equipment. Valid WI Drivers License and a clean driving record without
major violations or incidents.
Physical Stamina - Ability to perform physical demanding landscape tasks outdoors in potentially adverse weather conditions.
Attention to Detail - Maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of landscaping.
Pay level based on relevant experience.
