Wanted: A couple as PARTNERS (not employees) to help rehab a 1920s Sears & Roebuck kit house one hour north of Minneapolis.
I bought an old farm 8 years ago with the intention of rehabbing it. Now, I realize I am not able to do it on my own. I am looking for a couple to help rehab the house. I also want to rehab the 1943 dairy barn into a wedding and reception destination. Great location! Just off Hwy 35 between the Twin Cities and Duluth. I think it would be a fantastic additional income stream.
I am looking for help to rehab the house before this winter, when I hope to travel to the Southwest and return in early spring. I purpose a 3-6 month period where we work together. You will be paid during this time. After that, we will know more about moving forward as full partners. I also intend to restart a transportation company moving commercial freight. Partnership could include the transportation company as well.
If we agree to become partners, you would buy in 50% of the value of the house and land ONLY, which I can finance for you through monthly payments. In addition, you would receive 50% of the farm income and possibly the transportation company. All agreements will be in writing and any partnership documents will be executed by an attorney to protect both of us.
Ideal candidates - a strong construction, rehab background; small engine repair/maintenance; auto repair/maintenance; and farm background. Organizational and business skills helpful. There is lots of room for landscaping, gardening, and raising small farm animals. Must want a rural lifestyle and have an entrepreneurial spirit…not to mention self-motivated, hard-working, honest and easy to get along with.

I understand that this is an unusual situation, but I am at that age, 63, where I want to stay involved and help build something - but I can’t do it on my own. But if I help someone make this successful, then I’ll be part of that success. That’s why I want PARTNERS not employees.
