Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Sterile Processing Technician to join our Operating Room team on a PRN basis.
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and preparing instruments and equipment for all departments in the hospital.
Position Requirements:
Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Preferred: Post-secondary coursework in Sterile Processing skills
Preferred Professional Experience: Prefer prior experience as a hospital Sterile Processing Technician.
Licensure: Sterile Processing Certification is required within one year of hire.
Preferred Certification: Sterile Processing Certification upon hire.
Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
Work Shift:
PRN (as needed)
Required to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month
Scheduled Days: Variable (as needed)
Scheduled Shift: 4 – 10 hour days, Monday - Friday
Occasional On Call every 5th Weekend
One holiday per year. On a rotation basis. Call back is within 60 minutes.
