The Town of Springdale in Dane County has an impending vacancy for a Treasurer to work an average of 10 hours per week (more during budget and tax season). Responsibilities include maintaining the Town’s financial system, collecting and taking charge of all taxes and fees belonging to the town, disbursing funds as appropriate, complying with all Department of Revenue reporting, coordinating the annual budgeting process at the direction of the Board, reconciling accounts, and keeping the board apprised of budget vs actual spending and receipts at monthly meetings.
Bachelor’s degree and accounting experience is preferred. Strong listening and communication skills required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
