What You Have

Previous experience bartending in casual or fine-dining settings.

Professional knowledge of basic cocktail menus and recipes, wine knowledge and the ability to learn new drink preparation techniques while ensuring portion control.

The focus to ensure correct order taking and prompt service to multiple customers at a time while allowing guests the freedom to tailor their orders to their needs.

Time management skills to allow you to take great care of your direct customers while also supplying beverages for our Statehouse Restaurant Servers.

A caring, positive attitude with a genuine interest in ensuring our customers have memorable experiences.

Excellent customer service skills with the desire to work in a team environment.

A self-driven, entrepreneurial attitude towards achieving your goals.

The ability to physically perform the duties required of our Bartenders including carrying food trays, delivering drinks, carrying drinking glasses, plate ware and flatware through kitchen areas, occasionally moving tables and chairs.

Working Conditions

This position operates in a full-service, professional restaurant environment. Bartenders are required to use standard restaurant equipment such as point-of-sale computers, cash registers, commercial glassware and plate ware cleaning systems, etc. are required to work in our kitchen areas as well when receiving food orders and returning dishware. This position requires evening/weekend work.

This position is very active and is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
