As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and communicating results to multiple locations, analyzing and investigating variances, assisting in budget preparation, fixed assets, month-end close duties including journal entries and account reconciliations, and other ad-hoc projects throughout the year. This opportunity offers the ability to grow and advance within the team and refine your skills on a daily basis. Prepare monthly financial statements and communicate results for multiple operating companies
Analyze, investigate, and resolve variances in general ledger accounts
Prepare and assist in development of annual budgets
Monitor performance versus budget and other objectives
Oversee fixed asset accounting
Prepare supporting account reconciliations monthly for balance sheet accounts
Prepare quarterly/annual supporting tax and other compliance documentation
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
s
Associate degree in accounting
2-4+ years of experience in an accounting role preparing financial statements, fixed assets, and budgeting
Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skill, specifically Excel Microsoft Dynamics GP experience considered a plus
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work as member of team, both within accounting department and across entire organization
