Job SummaryThe Maintenance Specialist performs complex technical work, on a journeyman level, in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures and related electro-mechanical systems. The position entails creating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment. A critical element in this role is calibrating instruments to adapt to the specific needs.Responsibilities and Duties

Review and respond tomachine maintenance requests.

Label and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Provide recommendations regarding equipment upgrades or equipment redesigns.

Schedule routine maintenance on machines.

Store and organize maintenance tools.

Create a cycle time schedule to complete repairs and maintenance.

Provide training to other employees regarding the functions and capabilities of machines.

Organize machine manuals and any documentation related to the machines.

Maintain cleanliness of working areas.

Contact any outside vendors required to maintain specialty machines or vehicles.

Assist Facility Specialist or other departmentsas needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum high school education or equivalent.

Electrician certificate or relevant electrical experience required.

Willing to work outside of normal operating hours when required.

Ability to squat, bend, and lift. Can lift 5-15 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
