Available to candidates that reside in a rural area outside of Lincoln and Minnehaha Counties

Hybrid schedule – Will have the ability to work remotely and onsite within rural Avera facilities

Need to be able to complete a minimum of 500 hours

Job SummaryAvera Health Informatics internship will provide the student with the opportunity to apply classroom learning in real world applications and engage with clinicians and IT professionals in the advancement of health information and technology strategies. The Health Informatics Intern will predominantly support the Informatics teams and will gain experience on the critical role of health informatics in the healthcare environment.Education and/or Experience

Must be a current Dakota State University (DSU) student.

Candidates with faculty recommendations are preferred.

Interns should have a strong interest in expanding their knowledge base within Health Informatics in a healthcare setting.

Coursework in health information, health informatics, information technology or related field preferred. Campus and community involvement is encouraged. Candidates with faculty recommendations are preferred.

Pay

$17.00 per hour
