Also responsible for processing specimens, performing waived and minimal moderate complexity testing, performing and documenting quality controls, and using multiple information systems to locate orders and report results. Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Courses in phlebotomy, medical terminology, and anatomy and physiology.
Successful completion of a phlebotomy, medical assisting, or emergency technician program.
6 months of phlebotomy experience.
Experience with electronic health records and laboratory information systems.
Specimen Processing
Experience using a microscope.
