The APD Auto Physical Damage Catastrophe Claims Adjuster/Field Service Manager is a field-based position representing Ford Motor Company and its many departments to dealerships, assembly plants, ports, railroad ramps, distribution centers, body shops, lessees, and their dependents.

You will get to work in a high paced, quickly moving environment in which you will be able to travel to different regions on a regular basis.

What you'll do

Work remotely, managing complex insurance claims in a key-pointed area, work independently, schedule appointments for vehicle inspections and travel throughout key-point.

Review and process assigned claims to ensure compliance with company procedures and local and state fair claim practicing laws.

Review claims queue daily for new claims, make the initial contact with the dealer or lessee to discuss the loss details and address any questions or concerns regarding the claim.

Negotiate repair costs with body shops and complete an independent, fair and accurate, damage repair estimate ensuring that the estimate complies with industry standards and state mandated fair claims practices.

Properly document claim files in the Duck Creek Claims System (DCCS).

Coverage investigations including fire, theft, false pretense claims, and coverage decisions for floor planned units.

Work scheduled days at the World Headquarter Vehicle Service Center inspecting damaged company fleet lease vehicles.

Preparing damage estimates using Mitchell Connect estimating system to establish cost of repairs.

Subrogation investigations, salvage disposal, and fraud investigations

Loss prevention reviews and dealer training activities

Remain on-call for CAT/Storm losses and be prepared for extensive travel away from home for extended periods of time. Interested candidates must be willing to travel overnight as required and travel can be as much as 50% particularly during CAT (storm) season. Storm season is typically from March-August.

You'll have

Interested candidates must be willing to travel overnight as required and the travel can be as much as 50% to assist for catastrophic losses across the United States. These losses are typically dealer inventory losses filed by the Ford and Lincoln dealers and Ford assembly plants/holding yards. Travel commitments can require multiple weeks of travel on the road during severe weather periods and can last for several weeks at a time with minimal notice of where or when you would be required to travel. In region responsiblities include handling fleet claims on company lease vehicles, in transit claims, and dealer wholesale claims (non-catastrohic and catastrophic). The position includes a new company car, cell phone, laptop, corporate credit card and a complete package of benefits.

CAT loss adjusting and travel experience for a major retail insurance carrier

One or more state insurance adjuster and/or appraiser licenses, Texas or Florida preferred as those states are reciprocal for licensing required to handle claims in other states as needed.

I-CAR Gold or Platinum Certifications

Knowledge of vehicle repair processes and procedures

Ability to independently plan, organize, re-organize, prioritize, and problem-solve

3+ years of claims adjusting and estimating experience

Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
