We are looking for a supplemental provider to join our team.NPs / PAs collaborate with on-site physicians providing team-based care for patients in general and critical care units. NPs / PAs participate in all aspects of care of the hospitalized patient including admission, discharge, daily rounding, and patient education.Ideal candidates for our NP / PA position have an extensive medical knowledge base, inpatient medical experience, and a continual desire to learn and grow as a health care provider. Mayo Clinic values the skills and expertise of our NPs / PAs, and our goal for you is to be able to practice safely and confidently.Hours will vary based on need but will include day, night and weekend. Opportunities are available for participation in research and quality improvement projects, and education of the next generation of NPs / PAs.QualificationsAt least 1 year of experience in acute care as NP / PA preferred; new graduates will be considered depending on experience prior to or in school.Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner. Current WI RN license and certification as an FNP or ANP.Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.Additional Qualifications:Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals. Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments and passes ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated. Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of health care team.
