This Compressor Product Engineer is responsible for all aspects of compressor design including design creation, change management during development, design for manufacturability, product cost, performance, quality, reliability, and delivery of design deliverables to schedule for Trane commercial HVAC manufactured and sourced compressors.Thrive at work and at home:

Where is the work: Hybrid:This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. What you will do:
All aspects of compressor design including pressure vessel / casting design, bearing design, involute and/or rotor profile, stress and deflection analysis, lubrication systems, seals, rotordynamics and vibration analysis.
Management and approval of changes to the design throughout the design process from concept generation through release of all design deliverables.
Design and review practices including DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, design reviews utilizing subject matter experts, and others.
Ensuring the design is capable of meeting agreed-to performance, reliability and quality requirements.
Generating cost targets and estimates for the design, and for ensuring the design meets the agreed-to cost goals.
Defining, planning, and approving the work activities of the design team.
10-15% travel (including international) may be required.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Experience and long-term interest in the design and development of rotating machinery.
Strong mechanical design and analytical skills, with practical “hands-on” hardware experience.
Must be an effective team player with the ability to work with cross-functional or global groups.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills requiredCompensation: Base Pay Range: 70,000-100,000Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
