Supervisor, Shipping & Warehousing Kohler EnergyWork Mode: OnsiteLocation: Onsite at Kohler Energy, WIOpportunityThe Supervisor is responsible for managing safety, quality, delivery, and productivity of shipping and Warehousing associates on their shift to ensure all production and warehousing demands are met in the most cost effective and efficient manner. This is a first shift position, and the normal hours are from 6:30a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required before and/or after shift as well as some weekends. The pay is salary at 45 hours per week.Specific Responsibilities
Manage associate safety, ensuring operators are wearing proper PPE and follow safety protocols throughout the department.Participate in monthly safety training.Ensure operators are maintaining training on different safety systems at required intervals throughout the year, IE forklift training/recertification.
Manage quality of the work performed by the associates within your area of responsibility.
Lead daily Toolbox/Huddle meetings with warehouse associates.
Meet delivery targets by managing the hot list, working with other department Supervisors to set priorities and setting an overall strategy for your shift to follow.
Manage cost through the strategic use of overtime, when balanced against other SQDP metrics noted.
Post overtime for the department weekly as necessary.
Manage productivity, ensure all associates are meeting targets.
Handle disciplinary action as necessary to drive accountability on all aspects of the above requirements.
Manage payroll and vacations for their associates.
Shutdown the building as necessary if they are the last shift in the plant.
Conduct New Associate 30-60-90-day reviews, and thereafter annual reviews to provide both positive and constructive feedback as necessary.
Manage training and cross training of associates using training checklists and job hazard analysis documents.
Monitor capacity and other constraints to provide feedback to the Cell Manager, so, alternative sourcing methods can be utilized as necessary to ensure SQDCP targets can be met.
Report any mechanical or operational problems to the Maintenance Department, write work orders as needed.
Assist in resolving Maintenance related process problems throughout the department.
Perform all duties as assigned by Manager.
Skills/Requirements
Practice and follow all required safety regulations.
Must have high attention to detail and patience.
Must have high sense of urgency.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be punctual and dependable.
Associate should have good spatial reasoning skills and high mechanical aptitude to make deductions and inferences regarding processes or operations that may require improvement.
Must have management experience in complex manufacturing environments.
Preferred to have experience in union environments, but also not required.
Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Minimum Associates Degree in a technical field, management experience in shipping and Warehousing and/or a complex manufacturing environment.
Must communicate well, both written and orally.
Must be computer literate.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
