American Construction Metals (ACM) is a rapidly growing manufacturing Strategic Business Unit of ABC Supply and is currently seeking a Production Planner. ACM has been the recipient of the Gallup Great Workplace Award for 17 consecutive years and is proud to be an employee-first company. Shift Hours are: (Mon-Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm)
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, this position’s primary objective is to analyze, plan and schedule the manufacturing production plan according to customer demand and operations objectives. Additionally, this position requires the associate to be aware of any safety or environmental risks around the plant.
Specific duties may include:
Analyzing and Adjusting inventory levels using MS Excel
Manually adjusting inventory levels using JDE system
Providing leads with work orders for daily runs
Communicating with other departments to ensure daily plan accomplishment
Coordinating with Warehouse and Receiving departments to ensure that inventory levels stay accurate
Closing work orders on a daily basis
Ensuring raw material is being assigned correctly to work orders
Communicate effectively with Manufacturing manager on any delays regarding planning accomplishment
Specific qualifications include:
Manufacturing experience is required
Production planning/scheduling is preferred
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Outstanding communication skills (honest, open and collaborative)
Willingness to train and coach individuals to ensure success of plan
Attention to detail and desire to produce high quality work
