At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.POSITION SUMMARY: The Utility Worker is responsible for working in all areas of the hatchery, with the primary responsibilities being to work on the transfer crew and chick processing crew as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Trays eggs from farm racks or cases into incubator racks.
Loads incubators according to schedule.
Cleans and disinfects incubators, hatchers, egg room, processing rooms and hatchery equipment.
Transfers eggs from incubators to hatcher trays as part of the Transfer Team and subject to those SOP’s.
Assists in mixing and dispensing vaccines according to company guidelines.
Assists in all chick processing functions.
Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Ability to lift egg cases weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push/pull 100-500 pounds.
Ability to work independently.
Good mechanical abilities.
Ability to adapt and learn various positions and procedures.
Good math and computer skills.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
