Summerset Marine Construction, a leader in lakefront services across Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time Field Welder with welding experience in aluminum and steel. With locations in Whitewater, Madison, Green Lake, and Door County, we've been providing top-quality pier and lift services since 1990. As the largest pier and lift dealer in the Midwest, we pride ourselves on our expertise and commitment to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strong welding and fabrication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment.
Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, and loaders.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Load, unload, and distribute construction materials using heavy machinery.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Assist in the preparation and site setup for construction projects.
Perform precision tasks such as grading, trenching, and digging using heavy equipment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience with aluminum and steel welding.
Strong attention to detail to ensure top-quality product delivery.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment.
Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Physically demanding role, heavy lifting up to 100lbs.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Must be able to swim.
Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus.
