A large insurance company is looking for a DevOps Software Engineer (100% remote within the US) and is offering up to $230,000. This engineer is someone with a software development background, experienced with systems administration, who can improve cloud-based (AWS & Google Cloud Platform) software solutions and help build out DevOps best practices. Someone who works heavily with Python, Java, or Golang, who is experienced with container orchestration (EKS, GKE, etc.), regularly leverages Terraform, Cloudformation, and/or Ansible, and essentially sees themselves as a dev-heavy DevOps Engineer will fit in perfectly here. Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience
- Public cloud (AWS and Google Cloud Platform pref.)
- Scripting/programming (Golang, Python, Java, etc.)
- Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform pref., open to Cloudformation)
- Configuration management (Ansible pref.)
- Strong understanding of or hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GithubActions, etc.)
- Cloud architecture and strategy
- IAM (Active Directory, Okta, etc.)
- Transactional database systems (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.)
- Systems administration (configurations, server maintenance, etc.)
- Agile methodologies
