The Philanthropy Officer is responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation of a defined portfolio of Major Gift prospects for defined ministry or market fundraising opportunities along with Hospital Sisters of St. Francis (HSSFF) system priorities. This role will personally engage donors, community leaders, physicians and caregivers, department leaders and other volunteers in the fundraising process.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Philanthropic Studies, Business, Finance or related field is required.High School Diploma or equivalent plus 5 years related experience in communications, marketing, sales, wealth management, or fundraising may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.Experience3 years experience in planning and execution of donor/client solicitation or new business activities is required (This experience is in addition to experience used in lieu of degree).Experience with fundraising and data management systems is required.Raiser's Edge experience is highly preferred.
