This job requires the employee to collect current market information insuring accurate and competitive pricing is provided on all quotations. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide accurate and timely pricing information on all quotations
Enter supplier prices, lead-time, deviations, etc. into a quote system and maintain all supporting documentation
Manage the quotation and follow-up process in support of the organizational goals
Grow product sales and margins by making accurate pricing decisions through strategic supplier selection, applying product knowledge and leveraging the Sourcing team’s industry experience
Educate Account Managers and Outside Salespeople on the value of pricing decisions based on the selected supplier
Coordinate activities between Account Managers, Outside Salespeople, other functional areas of the business and Suppliers to meet organizational goals
INFREQUENT ACTIVITIES:

Trade Show Attendance
ISO Compliance
Attend Periodic Training Where Applicable
Participating in Cross Functional Special Projects
Position requires frequent contact outside the company with the supply base.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

Infrequent travel (less than 5%) required
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Engineering) or 2 years of relevant experience.
Direct OEM Fastener or Component supply chain experience preferred
Compensation starting at $51175- 63250 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
