Requisition ID :15190Employment Type :Full TimeJob Category :Supply Chain OperationsWork Location :Franksville, WI (AIS)State or Province :Wisconsin (US-WI)Potential Work?Location : MinnesotaBRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: AIS and the OEM business unit is dedicated to developing real production fastener solutions for our customers by supporting them with custom engineering, valuable product insight, and a global portfolio of suppliers. The Director of Sourcing drives operational excellence in supply chain capabilities by managing, coordinating and implementing activities related to strategic and tactical sourcing. The position will lead a multi-location group of sourcing associates in all new product sourcing and cost saving activities. This position is responsible for a broad span of responsibility that involves every activity involved in the products and services of the company. The role supports core operations and is a key contributor to the strategic goals of the organization. The position requires a polished professional that can create, give, support and drive processes and projects, initiatives, and goals forward. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engages in strategic negotiations to achieve favorable conditions and develop strong supplier partnerships.

Monitors and addresses supplier performance regarding quality, pricing and delivery requirements.

Collaborates with the Commercial Sales team on pricing for new business opportunities.

Ensures having the best supplier for each product group needed from both a cost and quality perspectives.

Collaborate with Sales and Procurement to achieve Sourcing goals.

Drives a single strategic Sourcing team for the OEM Business Unit. Works with Sourcing team on balancing workload to meet new package quote deadlines.

Assists Sales in pricing decisions based on sourcing review for package quotes.

Responds to part additions for existing customers in a timely fashion.

Measures and improves sourcing timelines, effectiveness, and win rate.

Directs actions to assist Purchasing where fill in stock is needed.

Drives implementation and direction of Kofax Sourcing software.

Manages outsourced projects.

Supervises Sourcing Department staff.

Manages domestic and international Sourcing.

Directs and engages in supplier pricing and quality standards.

Remains current on market trends with competitors, suppliers, and maintains procurement pipelines with alternative vendors to ensure corporate standards are maintained in accordance with required margins.

Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.

Negotiates pricing and terms with suppliers to maximize quality, price and delivery.

Leads negotiations with suppliers regarding inventory management, supply and pricing; explore consignment and warehousing possibilities.

Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Engineering) or 10 years of relevant experience required.

10 years Direct OEM Fastener or Component experience required.

SKILLS:

Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and in professional manner both verbally and in writing.

Ability to effectively evaluate various issues with varying levels of complexity and do so in a calm and professional manner.

Organizational skills that include the ability to manage time and tasks.

Ability to manage timelines, to stay on task from start to finish, follow up and keep a pulse on the entire process/project.

Possess good negotiation skills, to be able to persuade and move forward, to Get to Yes

Mathematical skills that are accurate and documented clearly.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, and presentation software

Solid and basic understanding of blueprint reading.

Ability to analyze information and determine solutions, next steps.

Relationship builder, develop and maintain good relationships with cross-functional team members as well as suppliers.

Problem solver, creative developer of solutions as well as converting data to deliverable outcomes.

Strategic mindset and ability to communicate and lead others to advance Team and Company goals.

Self-guided, self-motivated, and driven to succeed.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Infrequent travel less than 5%
