That's precisely what some of our employees and prospective employees think when they came across CodeForce 360. Position Overview Release Manager (Project Manager) Requirements:
- Manage all the day to day activities of a project.
- Responsible for producing project management deliverables.
- Control project scope and facilitate change management process.
- Lead and mentor staff in project management techniques.
- Responsible for identifying, managing and escalating issues and risks and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Validate estimates, risks, assumptions, constraints and interdependencies for viable solution options.
- Know how Change man and ERO works; be able to log into the mainframe and review packages.
- Experience with Agile Methodology and JIRA.
- Understand and follow established release process.
- Update local release process to achieve efficiency.
- Be aware of enterprise change management process and changes to that process that impact our local release process; update release process; communicate updates to dev teams.
- Work with development teams (NM, onshore, offshore) to ensure code is promoted to proper testing sites.
- Work with testing teams to communicate when code has been promoted.
- Manage exceptions - code promotion/demotion outside of standard timeline.
- Work with stakeholders to establish risk of exceptions.
- Communicate exceptions.
- Document deployment and checkout plan with help from development teams.
- Manage deployment/checkouts overnight/on weekends (this is expected for large deployments, can be rotated with other release team members for smaller deployments).
- Be a 'go to' person for questions on change, incident, and problem records
