SUMMARY The Quality Technician I - LScan operates the laser scanning equipment and works closely with both Quality Control Leaders and Quality Engineers. Their primary responsibility is to assist in processing parts through the work centers to validate their manufacturing, and to meet the facility's demand.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Set up and operate the HandySCAN Laser Scanners.
Generate and manage dimensional reports from both HandySCAN scanning systems.
Validate out-of-tolerance dimensions on scan reports and troubleshoot programming.
Utilize small measurement equipment and manual gaging to support dimensional verification.
Set up and operate the Hexagon Romer Arm and RS6 Laser Scanner.
Previous experience with PC-DMIS software for Romer Arms.
Communicate and work with Production Value Streams to maintain product flow.
Support MDI and MRB activity associated with the scan systems.
Communicate daily demand and status to Quality Management.
Generate and manage necessary quality notifications for nonconforming products.

High School diploma or equivalent.
2-year technical degree preferred.
Experience within the Aerospace Industry with exposure to AS9100 and FAA regulations preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Completed Creaform Training preferred.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Conversational in any other language is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Basic algebra: The ability to manipulate symbols and equations to find unknown values, express relationships, and model situations.
Basic Geometry: The ability to understand and work with shapes, angles, lines, and planes.
JOB SKILLS
Intermediate Level in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint, is necessary.
Proficient in Creaform software
Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
Strong technical skills, including reading and understanding technical drawings and manipulating CAD models and parametric data.
Strong background in dimensional verification, including the use of gaging.
