AWAKEN Marine and Powersports, LLC. is looking for a Lead Mechanic to add to their dynamic workforce at their Lake Holcombe, Wi. location. Awaken exists to optimize the customer experience of owning and maintaining marine equipment. The leadership team believes in creating a positive and encouraging work environment in order to recruit and maintain leading talent.
The Lake Holcombe, Wi. location is located just minutes away from the Holcombe flowage and other surrounding bodies of water that drive outdoor recreational opportunities for both local communities as well as tourists coming from around the country. The AWAKEN facility in Lake Holcombe was just completed in 2023 as a new build to offer the most modern amenities and experience for customers as well as team-members. It is situated right off Highway 27 surrounded by woods, and sitting on top of the Fisher River Valley for a true outdoor experience for everyone who enters the parking lot.
Job Summary:
The Lead Mechanic reports to the regional director and is accountable for the shop services, ensuring service operations are satisfactory for all customers and supporting a positive work environment for the fellow team members.
Job Responsibilities:
Enter and complete work orders in a timely and consistent manner
Develop and execute customized maintenance schedules for customers
Winterize and de-winterize boats during the spring and fall seasons
Communicate with customers and team-members regularly as needed
Receive phone calls, payments, part requests, and other customer facing activities.
Rig new boat builds and re-powers
Assess and complete new part orders as needed for maintenance and regular inventory
Diagnose incoming service requests
Lead new mechanics in onboarding activities and day-to-day support
Support company initiatives and values
Relocate equipment and inventory as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment
Learn and utilize company computer based management systems
Contribute to, and embrace, a positive environment for fellow team-members and customers.
Education and Experience
5+ years experience working on marine engines and services
Capable of working in teams or individually
Degree or certificate in marine services or similar is preferred
Written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity working with computer based management systems
