Job Title: Tool and Die MakerJob DescriptionThe candidate will study blueprints to visualize the shape, mechanical structure, and operation of dies, compute dimensions, plan machining, layout, and assembly operations. They will develop and coordinate build schedules, set up and operate machine tools, and verify the conformance of machined parts to specifications. Additionally, they will verify dimensions and alignments, fit and assemble components, and measure and mark metal stock for machining. The role involves utilizing equipment such as Bridgeports, CNC mills and lathes, CNC grinding equipment, and other hand and power tools to complete dies to customer specifications.Responsibilities

Study blueprints to visualize the shape, mechanical structure, and operation of dies.

Compute dimensions and plan machining, layout, and assembly operations.

Develop and coordinate build schedules.

Set up and operate machine tools.

Verify the conformance of machined parts to specifications.

Verify dimensions and alignments of components.

Fit and assemble components.

Measure and mark metal stock for machining.

Utilize equipment such as Bridgeports, CNC mills and lathes, CNC grinding equipment, and other hand and power tools.

Essential Skills

Tool and die making experience.

Manual machining skills.

Experience in setting up machines.

Proficiency in using milling machines and lathes.

Tooling and die repair experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with CNC equipment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
