Evening and/or weekend hours
10+ hours per week, with potential to increase hours soon

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA
Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living
Work one-on-one with members to direct them towards their health/wellness goals, as well as programs in the Y that best fit their goals.
Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
Utilizes tools and information for the purpose of increasing member knowledge of fitness and nutrition, as well as fitness or nutrition programs provided through the YMCA
Maintain and clean equipment according to the Wellness Center Cleaning Schedule, or as requested by supervisor or other management staff
QUALIFICATIONS:Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Degree or certification in the healthy/wellness industry preferred
Previous experience in coaching clients in health/wellness goals preferred
Skills
CPR, First Aid and AED certification and/or experience a plus
Ability to maintain positive, active and engaging presence in the facility
Self-motivating and innovative
